Chris Stafford, President
Chris started his insurance career in 1976 as a life insurance agent, but soon discovered that there was much more to the insurance industry, and became a multi line agent for a well-known direct writer. The next six plus years served as a great training ground and led to his next career step as an Independent Agent.

Now armed with more companies and services to offer, Chris never looked back. In September of 1991 an opportunity became available to work at First American Insurance Services, Inc. in Stewartville where Chris, his wife Jeanne and daughter Alisha resided. The decision to move his client base to this agency was made, and in January of 2004, Chris became the owner and president of First American Insurance Services.  He is dedicated to his clients and his employees and strives for a positive approach to all insurance needs.

Terry Schroeder
Terry is a Stewartville native who has been in the insurance business for over 10 years. He focuses on the Farm and Personal Lines  business.  He and his wife Pat have 3 children in college and are both active in the community. He is a member of the Stewartville Fire Dept and is a big sports and outdoor enthusiast.

Heather Burns
Heather is a licensed agent primarily responsible for writing home and auto packages. She also assists with many of the administrative responsibilities in the agency.   Heather is originally from the Hayfield area, but currently resides with her family in Stewartville. Prior to pursuing her insurance career two years ago, Heather spent four years in the banking industry.   Heather enjoys spending time with her children and also enjoys outdoor activities.

Jeanne Rasmussen
Jeanne Rasmussen is located in First American Insurance’s office in downtown Pine Island.  She grew up in rural Lewiston and graduated from Lewiston-Altura High School in 1995.  Jeanne moved to Pine Island in 2001 where she lives with her husband and daughter. Jeanne enjoys the great outdoors including spending time up north on the lake, hiking and biking.

In 2002 Jeanne began her career in the insurance business when she started working for First American Insurance in Stewartville.  For a short time, Jeanne worked with a captive insurance company but has now happily “returned home” to First American Insurance in their Pine Island office.  Having past experience with a captive insurance company, Jeanne understands the advantages of working with, and being insured by, an independent agency.  Having an office location in a small community, offering a wide variety of coverage options and providing hassle-free quotes are of great importance to Jeanne and she is happy to be able to provide this service!

Joy Oudekirk

Joy has been with First American Insurance since 1970 and has earned the designations of CIC and CPIW.  She was also named Insurance Woman of the Year and has been awarded the AAGMA Award.

Active in her community, Joy is a member of a number of civic organizations that include Southern Minnesota Insurance Association, National Association of Insurance Women, CIC Society, Brownsdale Business Association, Mower County Red Hat Group, local and national American Red Cross disaster team volunteer and church treasurer.  She is also active in cancer auctions, meals on wheels, public television and organized a defensive driving class.
